I've heard the report of WHO to use for winter off-shore fishing. What I'm most interested now is "what do you catch"? In Florida, a really great day trip will yield several grouper. What does a great day trip off of St. Thomas yield?
I'm assuming: Wahoo and Mahi Mahi, but more likely smaller "snapper" type fish.
Any help is appreciated as I'm trying to decide if a group of 3-6 should spend our (very) hard-earned money on a trip like this (it's much cheaper to lay by the sea than to be on it catching nothing!).
Thanks for your help!!!

The last time I was out with Double Header There were 6 on board for the 4 hours there wasn't a time that some body wasn't hooked up in the 4 hours we caught about 40 fish anything from kings to barracuda, african pompono, tuna and mahi mahi , alond with smaller fish
Have heard much good about Double Header but have not been out with them. Went with Mixed Bag, their out of STJ but picked us up at Sapphire Beach Marina, last Feb. out near "The Drop" caught 4 20-25lb Skip Jack Tuna. ( I think they were skip-jack, had lines on sides) and several Mahi Mahi.and a Bonito. Good trip , 2 couples and $400 + per for 4 hrs. Had the Mahi for breakfast the next morning, pan seared in butter and Miss Haiti's yellow hot sauce. Nothing like sittin on Sapphire Beach eating fresh Mahi and eggs chased with a beer at 9:am.
When we fish off shore, we tend to catch Spanish Mackeral and King fish. When we go out to the drop, that is where we catch Tuna, Bonito, and Mahi-mahi! Enjoy yourselves!
