Bluwater, how do you put a picture on a post like you have done for your trip reports?
I really like it when there are pictures included in trip reports. It helps to keep my interest to keep reading them.

Anyway, I thought it would be cool if people posted their favorite pictures from the USVI's. I took some, which I don't think are as good as I will get on my next trip, but I do have a favorite one.

If everyone just posted 1 picture, it wouldn't get too out of hand would it?

Bluwater, you can start and let us know how we do it!''

Hello Marie,

It looks as though maybe the file got corrupted when being uploaded to photobucket... only odd thing is that you say you can see it properly. If you have another photo from that same album try posting it. You posted it correctly on the message board but the photo isn't displaying correctly on photobucket (I only see the top 1/5ths too, the rest is solid grey).

OK I followed Bluwater's directions. I hope this works. Someone else helped me out on the USVI board and it came out. Here I'm on my own and not all that confident.

Well it came out but it's small. Now what do you do?

It looks like you have it as a thumbnail. You need to resize it bigger before you post it. I know that on Photobucket the size is labeled "message board" that I used. You may have to re- download it to the site that you used. I know that when you resize and save it on photobucket, you can't resize that same picture. Try again! It is still a nice picture.

Hello Marie,

On the same site that you had posted the first photo from (the one that we can only see 1/5 of) I can see another photo of your boat, its from the back and side. Do you want me to try and post that one for you?

Thanks, Islander. The site that I used, shutterfly, did not have a way (at least that I could see) to enlarge the photo.
Actually on photobucket there are about 12 pictures of the boat. If you can try the photo that you saw it would be fine with me. Actually, I'm tired of trying.

Thanks, Islander.
Just an explanation. As you can see the bottom is pretty dirty. We are on our way to Nanny Cay to have the bottom cleaned and painted. This involved 5 days of living in dry dock while the work was done. The stay was not all that bad as the weather was beautiful and Nanny Cay has greatly improved its facilities. The photos were taken by BVI Yacht shots which is headquartered at Nanny Cay as we were sailing over from Coral Bay. They took over 20 shots.

Absolutely LOVE IT! Do you need a cook or a dishwasher or a cleaning lady or something? I could make myself available! (ha ha!!)

Forget cook or diswasher California Girl! Think big 🙂 Watch...

Marie, do you need a bestest friend? 😉

I didn't even notice the bottom. I just saw a beautiful boat sailing in the most beautiful place in the world.

You're both too funny. Actually my husband is down there now sailing with his bestest friend. Sometime you should consider chartering in the VI. That's what got us started. It's a great way to see all the islands. Our very first trip was many years ago. We have always sailed. We decided that although we had a boat up here in Long Island sound the sailing season was too short by the time we got the boat in the water. Besides that we chartered yearly in the VI and the Grenadines. So we sold our boat up here and bought in STJ. This is probably more than you wanted to know. But that's our story.

No such thing as too much information, unless you're talking about your latest operation! 🙂

Like CG said, no such thing as too much information. I like hearing about everyone and I like the personal information. It makes me keep wanting to come back and check the forum.
I don't want to get into too much off topic stuff, however. 🙂
Your picture is great and I am glad that we can finally see it!
I hope that we can take a sail charter when we are there. We have done charters in other places and really liked them.
Enjoy yourself! You are so lucky to have a boat in STJ.
Keep the pictures coming.
