I noticed that the hotels have a limit of 4 people per room. We wanted to stay at the Grand Rennesance. I have a 5, 3 and infant. How strict is this rule? What ar my options?

Hello, well yes most resorts/hotels have this rule. Many also have a rule that children stay free with parents. I think mostly it means no more than 4 adults. Meaning if there are double beds they don't want more than say two couples staying in one room. However your family is just that a family and to ask you to rent to rooms would be pretty crazy as your children are young, toddler and infant. I am not sure of this - but I if you told them the 3 children's ages that it would not be a problem. Perhaps they might charge you an extra person fee. Ask the hotel and tell them its two adults and 3 young children. Also inquire about children's clubs, children staying for free and eating for free. Some places offer this.

Thanks islander,
I was a little surprised when I tried to reserve a room with 2 adults and 3 children at travelocity, expedia and even the the Renassance Hotel website. They all basically say that I went over the maximum limit. So I called the the hotel and I was relieved to know that they can accomodade 2 adults and 3 children, no problem. I then called expedia and they said to reserve for 2 adults and 2 children instead of 3 children but let the hotel know and there should be no problem.
Whew....kinda make you think about having more kids.
thanks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Ed, but once your 3 kids get a little older, these hotels will no longer allow you to stay 5 in a room. I have 3 kids ages 5, 7, and 11 and I couldn't find a hotel in STT that would allow us to all stay in one room unless it was a suite. Once your infant is out of the crib, be prepared to spend $$$$. I too had that experience on travelocity with the number of people. You are wrong about expedia, they do allow you to put in 2 adults and 3 kids for a room request.
