Extend Stay over Mem Day??

We are renting a house in St john until the Frday before Memorial Day. I just found out that I can extend my stay until Sunday the 26th. Is it possible to "remain flexible" and not make any reservations fro those last two days? I'd like to get down there (never been) - then decide how to fill me newly found last two days in the VI. Or will it be so busy over that weekend that I sould make reservations now.

I am more than flexible to Island hop to find space....

You probally could find a place more easily on St. Thomas - so if Island hopping is an option - then you can take the chance - there are lots of hotels and bed and breakfasts and resorts on St. Thomas- I see no reason why every room at every property would be filled.
