My boyfriend and I will be staying on St Thomas. I have a few general questions. Can we ferry to the baths in the BVI's? My boyfriend doesn't want to snorkel but I do. Are any of the excursions worth it since he doesn't want to snorkel? I have read much about the floating bar outside of Norman Island and about the Caves. Are there any suggestions of how to get there or incorporate this into our trip. Is there a way to incorporate Norman Island and the Baths in one day? I am open to any suggestions on this topic!! Thank you!
Yes, you can take a ferry to Virgin Gorda, then a taxi to the Baths.
I believe that both Limnos and Pirate's Penny/Stormy Petrel go to both the Baths and then either the Caves or the Indians (both great snorkeling spots by Norman Island,) He can always stay aboard and watch you snorkel, have a drink, and chat with the crew. I don't know of any day trips that stop at the WIllie T (the floating bar), so I will leave that to someone else.
I think if you want to go to the Willie T you would have to charter your own boat. In March we chartered a boat and went to the Baths, Willie T and then the Caves. It was the best day of vacation I have ever had!
jrobinv - who did you charter through? i'm very interested in this option. thanks!
If you go to "St Thomas" at the top of this page you can scroll down to a ton of information on daysail options from the big cats to the 6-packs. Cheers!
We used Lion in Da Sun. They were fabulous.
Will be going out with Lion In Da Sun for the 3rd time in August. Matt and Josh are great. Our day out on the water is always the highlight of our trip. Bringing some first timers with us this year and can't wait to show them the ropes. Can already taste the Smuggler's Punch and Painkillers.
Your BF may change his mind about snorkeling when he gets here, in fact I'd be gobsmacked if he didn't!

GOBSMACKED???
"Gobsmacked" is an English term which means, "utterly astounded, dumbfounded," etc. Try it some time! Cheers!
