Hello everyone,

a friend and I will stay at the Emerald Beach Resort in October. The description of the hotel says that it has a tour desk. Does anyone know what tours they offer? Do we need to book something in advance?

How about the daysails? How early are they booked? Is it better to take the public ferry or to do a daysail, if we want to go to the BVI?

How bad are the mosquitoes and other bugs at Lindbergh Bay?

Thanks for your help!

Gisela

Not sure what tours are offered.

The difference between taking a ferry and a daysail is rather the same as doing something on your own and doing it with a tour guide. Taking the ferry to say St. John - is a do it yourself day trip - you will need to pick the beach, take a taxi or rent a car ... with a daysail your captain will show you a few spots - stop at a pre selected beach, have lunch for you and so fort.... so its really up to you - which type of day you would rather have.

Mosquitoes are not too bad unless its been raining a lot.

Have a great time.

We do both a day sail (with New Horizons) and take the ferry to St. John to run around on our own (we take our rental car). Info on the day sail can be gotten on line at http://www.newhorizons.daysails.com/ Info on the car rental that we use every year is at http://www.dependablecar.com/
Have a great time, I know we always do.
