Hello!
Any opinions on this resort? We're getting married in March and going there
for our honeymoon!

Thanks,
Kathy & Rich

It is a nice resort. We stayed there last October. The restaurant on site Robert's is VERY good! Bonnie's not so much, the food and service were not too good. The grounds were very pretty and the room we stayed in was clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. The bathroom could use a little TLC. It was a little run down, but clean. The pool area was nice but who wants to hang around the pool with the beautiful Caribbean waters right at your doorstep. We spent most of our time on St John. Being very near Red Hook made it very convenient to take the ferry over. We loved the snorkeling at Leinster Bay (spelling?). Ask the locals, they will point you in the right direction for the best snorkeling spots. Congrats! You will have a BLAST!!!

Close to Red Hook-great restaurants, nice market there & is where you get the ferry to go to St. John. Close to Secret Harbour for snorkeling & there's the Blue Moon Cafe restaurant there too. Robert's had great food, Bonnie's has typical food. The pool is nice & not usually crowded (now that they have kept it for people staying only at the Elysian). Its on the beach & has a nice view! On the way to the Elysian & "off the beaten track" is Latitude 18 (I THINK its still called that--can anyone help if not?) which had reasonable food and a live band at night--you might luck out and the Sun Mountain Fiddler & his crew will be there-they're alot of fun!
Congrats & enjoy the islands!

Congraduations on your wedding! You will love STT for your honeymoon. We love the Elysian Beach Resort and have been staying there for many yrs. It is a quiet romantic resort with beautiful grounds, pool, jacuzzi and beach just perfect for your honeymoon. Robert's America Grill has great food--it is very elegant for evening. Be sure to visit the bar as the bartender makes the best drinks--so yummy. You will just love it all---ENJOY!

KathyRich: I am not sure if you saw my response under your other thread:

The Elysian is on Cowpet Bay which is the home of three restaurants and the St Thomas Yacht Club. My favorite of the three is Robert's- great food and a terrific piano bar. Bonnie's is more casual and right on the beach. Arthur's is a bit of a walk, over at the Anchorage. The yacht club is somewhere in between. The Ritz is next door (walking distance the other way) if you really want to spend some money.

Nightlife on the bay is pretty much confined to those places. But Red Hook is not too far away and will have you partying until the wee hours, if you wish. Plenty of bars and restaurants for all. There are cabs available from the Elysian, check the fares on this site. All cab fares are per person, not per ride, and can add up quickly
