The beach is nice but small and it has lots of boats anchored there. As for crowds, have never seen any but then again we don't stay there, just visit.

Hello Betty,

I don't know how far Bldg. F is from the beach. Elysian Beach is small and nice. It is not the largest or best beach on St. Thomas (in my opionion) but it is nice to lay out on and enjoy its usually quiet and relaxing feel. I would recommend beach hopping so you can enjoy other beaches on St. Thomas like Magens Bay, Sapphire, Secret Harbor... The property at Elysian is lovely. Good snorkeling can be found at Coki Beach, fishing - well I suppose you could fish there at Elysian, not sure how good it is, you might want to ask the watersports folks in the booth right on the beach. If you like fishing you might to take a fishing charter.

Betty: The reason there are so many boats is that Cowpet Bay is home to the St Thomas Yacht Club! Additionally three condo complexes share the bay: Cowpet East and West and the Anchorage.
