Are we going to have issues going out with a party of 7? Will we need dinner ressies everywhere? Which spots are going to be easier on a walk-in basis, which ones will we really need to pre-plan? And which ones are no way! Thanks!!!

We had a group of 10 and were there during a peak time (right after Christmas and over New Years for 10 days). We walked in to Aqua Bistro and Miss Lucy's for dinner, and got tables but were told that we should have called. We made reservations for Shipwreck Landing (best meal there!) and sent an advance crew to get a big table at Skinny's. (Stayed in Coral Bay so didn't go out in Cruz Bay.) Depending on time of year (peak vs. low) and time of day, I think in many places you'll be fine. But a phone call ahead of time is always a good idea just to save you a wait for a table, especially at nicer/more popular restaurants.

I would at least call ahead in most cases. I am not sure would be turned away anywhere for a party of 7 but most restaurants will need a heads up so they can move around tables.
The only place that you may have a longer wait than others is Cafe Roma, it is pretty small but you should not have a problem most other places.

Depending on how busy the island is, I would not expect that you will be able to walk right in, but if you are in Cruz Bay, there is always a bar close by to make the wait seem faster! 🙂
