Take the time to have the kids enjoy a fun outdoor lunch at Iggies Sports Bar at Bolongo - the food is very good and there is sand volleyball and a basketball court and it's right on the beach.

June - good. You can buy 2 of the Rotary Club's dining out 2 for 1 coupon book. Half of your party will eat free at the participating restaurants. The list of restaurants is released in the Spring, but a search of last year's participants will give you an idea.

My 18 yr old and his GF like to order off of the bar menu / pub menu at Caribbean Saloon. The pub menu is cheaper than the regular restaurant menu and has their kind of food on it. They are both athletes so they eat a ton....and they claim this was the best deal they found for loads of good food (they are picky about what they eat - it can't be junk) at cheap prices. I also enjoyed the restaurant for the regular menu and thought it was very reasonable for such a nice place.

I always recommend Burrito Bay Deli in Red Hook for lunch - island style platters of island type burritos - stuffed with things like curried chicken, etc... plus you can get various kinds of rice, salad ...and its cheap - like $8 a platter! On our last visit (Jul 05) we almost missed out flight out having one last lunch at this place!

Search this board for posts in the last two weeks and you'll find a thread on cheap places to eat on STT.

Check out the Green House restaurant and bar in CA. We found it to be good food, and reasonable rates, plus an unexpected playoff fooball game of our Seattle Seahawks!

If you are staying at Morningstar, then you should have a kitchen, right? Get lunch supplies and make a picnic day (or two or three) and spluge a bit on dinner. The closest grocery is the Pueblo near Havensight, but there are other options, but you will be better off taking the car - Plaza Extra (at Tutu Mall), Food Center (almost to Red Hook) are the better options. I haven't been too impressed with the Pueblos here and both Plaza Extra and the Food Center have a hot food deli. The whole chickens ($5 I think) at the Food Center are terrific....just remember to get plenty of napkins 😉
