We have about a 3 hour layover till our flight to STT and was wondering what there is to eat at SJU. Any suggestions for the best taste for the price. Flying in on Continental and transferring to Cape Air, if that helps. I do not know what gate or terminal. Thanks

Having just passed thru there I can help a little bit. We flew in from STT on American Airlines and in the terminal there were several spots, can't remember the names but with three hours I'm sure you'll find something. We ate at a bar/restaurant again can't remember the name but the prices were reasonable and food was good. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Jill

There is a really nice wi-fi cafe with homemade salads, soups, sandwiches and wonderful desserts. The wi-fi is free to all, I sat there for 3 hours in August waiting for a connecting flight and enjoyed myself immensely.

We had a short lay over at SJU also. From what I remember, there were quite a few good places to eat. We ate at a burger joint/bar that was pretty good and the prices were definitely reasonable. For a tasty burger and fries at an airport, the prices were cheaper at SJU than back at the the States. Hope this helps.:-)

Yup, I think there's only one burger/breakfast joint. I can't remember the name either. Poor marketing on thieir part.:S You can sit down and eat but depending on traffic, you may not get in there. Food is very good for an airport and reasonable. We've probably eaten there three out of the last four years...depending on connection times...not that THAT matters in the Caribbian.

Just ate there about two weeks ago. Had the quesadilla's. I believe it is the only sit down place to eat. It was very good and good service. It is pretty large too so you can't miss it. I believe it is past the fast moving ramps whatever they are called you know the floor escalators 🙂 I am a blond sorry. If you are facing the main front doors you would go to your left. Should be in either terminal A B or C. Sorry wished I could give you more. I just remember it was down towards the end of one of the terminals.

If you go out the security area there is a casino that has a bistro in it right as you walk out of terminal. It is tied to a hotel. Never have eaten there, but folks are on flight home awhile back said it was it great.

Once again there is a place in terminal, but outside secured area, and for the life of me I cannot remember the name, but it is something BQ I pretty sure. They have a PR menu with Toastones, Mofongo, Arroz y Pollo etc... By no means the best I have had but it is a taste of PR

I'm actually aware of several sit-down places within the terminal area. The terminal is pretty small so you won't have a hard time finding them. Towards the center is a bar with about a dozen tables (often crowded) and a restaurant with many tables and a small bar. Towards one end is a burger/sandwich place (around Gates 2 & 3) that's kind of cafeteria style with about a dozen tables. There's not a great array of dishes to choose from at any of these places but certainly enough to satisfy your hunger at reasonable prices.
