We are delighted to visit STT for the 1st time for our son's wedding in the Red Hook area on Easter Weekend. We are staying at Pavillions & Pools; questions we would have would be: (1) directions from the Pavillions/RedHook area to nearby Catholic Church for Easter Sunday Services; we have seen references in other posts to "the TuTu area, Holy Family, and "on top of the mountain", but would appreciate a little more guidance and directions (2) any recent feedback on Pavillions & Pools --- seems like people love it or hate it; (3) we have heard great feedback on Roberts American Grill where we are dining Friday April 14th; any suggestions for a comparable restaurant in the RedHook area for Thursday the 13th? (4) we have searched in vain for an actual road map for St. Thomas which we could print out or download from the Net --- pretty hard to find (we can "view" them, but can't get the oversize maps to print out---obviously they would like to sell them if they can); I'm sure there will be lots of them at the rent-a-car place, but nothing like trying to orient yourself in advance in a new Island.

p.s. This is a terrific forum; compares very favorably with other websites we have consulted in our other Caribbean travels !

To get to Holy Family Catholic Church from Pavilions and Pools, turn right out of P&P onto the main road and continue on past Point Pleasant (R), the Kilnworks Pottery (R) The Toad and Tart (L) and then through the main part of Smith Bay and up Cassis Hill. As you start downwards on Cassis Hill you'll see East End Lumber on your right, continue to the bottom of the hill and Holy Family is on the right. It's an easy straight run and will take you ten minutes.

You'll find plenty of maps when you get here and getting around is really quite simple as long as you remember to stay left and always pay attention. Have a wonderful trip!

And another good restaurant in Red Hook is East End Cafe. Since you just got such nice directions, you might want to stop by The Toad and Tart for a pint...;)
