Good morning:

We will be visiting STT over Easter break and I saw on the calendar that Monday 4/9 is a "holiday". Are all of the shops, restaurants etc. still open?

Easter weekend from Holy Thursday through Easter Monday will be a local government holiday. No problem if you don't need government services, but beware that you will not be allowed to buy drinks on Good Friday until 4:30 pm or so.

Phew! Our flight comes into STT on Saturday (day after Good Friday) just in time for a "nooner".

Waterguy -
Well, I guess "nooner" can be used a couple of different ways.......:)

Your trip reports have brought tears and laughter. Thank you for sharing with us. You are a very special person and your wife was very lucky.
