What is the dress code for here? Last time we were there (2 yrs ago), it seems that everyone had nice clothes, dockers, capris, etc. Would a nice pair of shorts and shirt do?
Thanks

I think that you can go as casual as you want anywhere on the island, I do.

Yep you will fit right in. They want your money....tourism is so far off....restaurants are happy to see diners!

hi, tswheel...

in just about every restaurant here, even the high end ones, "island elegant" is the way to go. natural fibers, loose fit, and cool. i'd avoid cutoff shorts and grimy toenails hanging off flip-flops:D

you can wear anything from a nice polo shirt and khakis with loafers or sandals, to a shortsleeve cotton oxford and long dark pants. for ladies, a nice sundress and shawl if it's cool, or a light pants or shorts suit will do.

in this climate, no one's looking for jacket and tie for eating out. people sometimes do dress up though... for balls and special events and such. but not necessary for dining out, since all my years here (on and off since 1983).
