We shall be chartering a boat in Rhode Town, and must be there by 9 am on a Thursday in October. No planes arrive in Tortola that early, and we'd prefer to stay overnight in St. Thomas. The ferry schedule, however, seems to indicate no ferry leaves St. Thomas early enough to ensure a 9 am arrival in Rhode Town. Any advice?

It's my understanding that you can hire a private water taxi in St. John so I would asume you could do the same in St Thomas.
Call the number and ask them if they leave from St. Thomas also or if they can redirect you to another company that will.

*say, it's "Road Town" Tortola!*

Is it too late to consider flying into Beef Island (EIS) airport and overnighting on Tortola? American flies commuter from San Juan Puerto Rico. A day trip to St. Thomas is very easy to do during your stay in the BVI, if you have the time.
