We heard different information about Duffy's Love Shack in St. Thomas. Someone told us it was a lot of fun just dancing the night away, but someone else told us that it has at times gotten a little on the raunchy/lude side. Which is true?

The later the hour - the more chance of seeing rude behavior - it would seem to be an alcohol based event.

i agree. early in the night, say up to 10PM it is not a bad place to go. And the food is pretty good. After 10 you might see a few bare breasts and some behavior that I can only catagorize as "get a room".

I agree with Bill. The earlier you go, the less likely you are to see any of that happening.

They will play a song called "Girls, girls, girls" and some girls will get up for a tattoo, where the bartender will place in a strategic place. We've seen it, and I really don't think it's that bad, but we also saw a couple, older then us who REALLY needed a room. That I didn't like, but in general I like Duffy's. If you have children, they would probably be in bed and you would be with them, so no need to worry.

We went twice to Duffy's. The first time with the kids (aged 10 - 17). Went about 8 PM on a Friday, had dinner. The dancing was a little bit "get a room", but the kids had fun watching the 20 somethings making a fool of themselves on the dance floor. We left about 10 PM and it wasn't too bad, actually pretty fun atmosphere. The second night was about 10:30 PM on a Tuesday. The tattoo scene was something I definitely wouldn't want the kids to see. WAY over the top with full nudity and whipped cream. So I guess, bottom line is it just depends on the crowd there that night.

Somehow I missed all of the nudity stuff after visiting there at least twice a year for 7 years, and it's still in my top 3 favorite bars in the VI's. Maybe next year-(LOL)-!
great sweet fiji wings, by the way.
