*I know you drive on the left in USVI. Are the steering wheels of the rental cars and Jeeps on the right, or are they on the left as they are in the States? Thanks.
They the same as in the US. Kinda odd though if you think of it.
I always make this point about how we drive in the USVI... to me it makes sense 🙂
The steering wheel is like the US on the left side and we drive on the left side... so the driver is furthest away from on coming traffic 🙂 kinda like it that way. Always seems odd when I drive in other places to see a car coming right at ME. LOL.
I tried finding information on why we drive on the left as a US territory. The cars being left steering is from the US. However the side of the road we drive on has always said to be from the Danes - however they drive on the right. Then I found another resource that said the British influenced the Virgin Islands driving on the left side. Not sure on that. Then found another article that said it was influenced by the way the standards for riding horse driven carts was... then there is always the local explanation - the donkeys were to stubborn to switch to walking on the right side of the road.
Anyone have any other info on this.
