I know previously the downtown ferry had changed it's schedule and has limited to runs to Cruz Bay STJ.

Does anyone know if they are back running on Sundays more hours or is it still limited?

Just trying to plan our arrival and anticipate whether we go downtown or over to Red Hook. We land on STT at 3pm Sunday

The link up top still shows the schedule but doesn't state anything about Sundays.

Thanks

Jill

Sorry I can't help you Jill, but I will offer you a little information. When we were down in November, we called the ferry service to see if there would be service on the Sunday when we had to return. They gave a list of limited Sunday service. I explained that the hand printed sign at the ticket window in Cruz Bay said no CA runs on Sunday. She said that she knew about the sign but the sign was wrong. We asked the CB ticket agent when we hopped over to CA mid week and recieved even different information. We were so thouroghly confused between the sign, the phone and the ticket agent that we decided to take the Red Hook just to be safe.

Thanks for the info....that's pretty much what I figured w/ regards to different info....it doesn't seem as if one hand talks to the other down there w/ regards to the ferry, but it's no big deal. We'll just plan on taking the Red Hook ferry because based on the times of this board if it did run on Sunday we'd have to wait around for about 2 hours and that's a lot of STJ lost time in my eyes. Thanks again for the info.

just an fyi.....in case you do ever take the CB to CA ferry and have time to kill in CA before going to the airport....you can get off the ferry in CA and walk with your luggage to the visitors center downtown CA and store your luggage for 2 bucks a bag as long as you wish.
Then you can spend a some time downtown. The visitors center will get you a cab pickup to take you to the airport anytime.
It really is a nice service since the ferry times are so limited now. I dont like going to Red Hook and being hearded like cattle to the airport
I have done this several times ..... the storage area is secure and they have refreshments and nice restrooms etc

Where is this Visitors Center? I s it open on Sunday? Is this in the building between Little Switzerland and the waterfront across from the 'tent market' that sells local crafts?
