Are there any trips near St Thomas /St Johns that focus on sighting dolphins?

Welcome to the message board Ripster!

Don't know of any charters that focus on dolphin sightings. Once in a while folks on a charter or a boat owner/crew will report seeing dolphins while out on the water. And once in a while there are reports of seeing them off a beach right from shore. So they are around, but seeing them is by chance or luck. This makes it tough for a charter or tour to focus on sighting them.

There is a dolphin named Splash that frequents the Cruz Bay harbor area. Perhaps one of the St. John residents can chime in with info. on Splash.

There are typically some planned whale watching trips usually in February-March when whales are in the area. They are more of an educational trip and sometimes whales are spotted. These outings are coordinated by the Environmental Association of St. Thomas-St. John (EAST). Their website is: http://www.eastvi.org.

LOL, that actually led to someone going to antigua on a charterboat (st. john's) instead of st. john usvi for a meet-up some of our villa guests. it can make a diff!
