Our family is coming to st thomas (our daughter is getting married) and my youngest son and I would like to swim with the dolphins. I know they have swim with sharks but not brave enough for that.
Not in the USVI. If it is still open, you must visit the BVI.

I am afraid this topic raises many emotions (do a search and you will find them) so be prepared...
Hi sue.
This topic has been discussed several times on this board. Here is a link to the most recent two-page thread:
The shark swim is in the Bahamas. Not in the USVirginIslands.
The dolphin torture is in Tortola...Not in the USVirgiIslands.
"Coral World staff...are starting to allow guests into the shark pool, carefully guided by a trained staff member."
"Each person can spend eight to 10 minutes crouching quietly in snorkel gear in the center of the pool, staying out of the shark's well-defined swim path."
"Guests are not allowed to touch the sharks, and sudden movements are not tolerated."
