hi, my husband and i are going to st thomas next spring, i was wondering what are the requirements for renewing marriage vows. and if anyone has used any of the wedding planners listed on this site? anyone plan it on their own? any info would be great. thanks alot! scooby
hi again, we were married in the u.s. the first time,if this helps thanks, scooby
Scooby,
As renewal of vows is not a civil ceremony I doubt there would be any requirements at all. Do a search for weddings here as there are many past posts for that sort of thing on this board that are fairly recent. I think planning it on your own would be great fun. If you want to do it on a yacht, let me know.

hi pamela, thanks for the info. does this mean i only have to hire a minister? or whoever, i wouldn't know where to start. yes if its that easy i would probaly do it. right now its just a thought i guess. we are staying at sapphire beach is this an ok spot? would rather do it on st john but that sounds like a hassle because we are not staying on the island. thanks scooby
Sapphire has a beautiful "wedding" spot down at the end of the walk past the beach bar. The name escapes me at the moment but it is very lovely. Pretty Klip I think is it. Call your reservation agent at Sapphire and ask her about it. They can also arrange flowers, cake, champagne - the whole nine yards for a great wedding. I'm PM'ing (is that a word) you with some more info.

You do not have to do anything regarding paperwork for a vow renewal in the Virgin Islands.
I cannot strees enough how perfect St. John would be for your Vow Renewal. Trunk Bay Beach at sunset would be perfect.
Good Luck,
Stacy
