Do a lot of teenagers (high school and college kids) go to st. thomas over christmas break? Or at all? I always thought it was more for families or couples rather than teens.
I don't think so. St. Thomas is much more expensive than places like Cancun or Nassau, and it's not really a college-student destination. A lot of St. Thomian teenagers who study at universities in the states come down for Christmas break, though.
Ditto Dominic's answer...
We do get some college age people; groups of friends with parents that own a timeshare or condo on island or who usually came with parents... Also the local college kids coming home for the holidays often bring friends from school with them... And there are college & high school age kids that live here and they are off from school for the holidays...
So that age group is present and if you went to say Greenhouse or Duffys or another popular bar at night you would see quite a bit of late teens/college age young adults partying. Other than that their numbers aren't great enough that at beaches or hotels you would notice it but if you were a teen traveling with your family or in a group you would find a few other similar age people.

do you mean h.s. & college kids traveling solo as they do spring break ? or traveling w/parents ? xmas is not the time you will see that age group solo. even in the spring the usvi's are not the "in" spot for the spring breakers....THANK GOD !!! of course there are always families vacationing during the xmas holidays. are you going to the vi's at xmas/with "kids" ? just wondering why you were you were asking ?
