Does anyone know anything about this resort??
Good, bad or otherwise??
What does Run of the House mean??
Jeniffer
Hi Jen, It's a nice resort on the east end of St. Croix. Rooms are beachfront. It's been several years since staying there but the room was clean, comfy, tastefully appointed. Have in more recent years eaten at the beach-side grill/bar and it was good, good customer service. The mini-golf course was fun. The casino is small, has slots and tables and some nights live entertainment - usually local bands.

we stayed at the Divi a few times over the years and always found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and very reasonable. I highly recommend Divi as a hotel. The staff has been friendly and efficient. Also ate there a few times, and found the food good. We stay there when we go to St Croix for the Chili Cookoff.
The casino I give thumbs down. We have gambled all over the world and really enjoy small, out of the way casinos. We've spend many weekends in Puerto on little casino excursions. We've played in St. Martin, Aruba, Atlantic City, Bilouxi, New Orleans, of course all over Vegas and Henderson, cruise ships--you name it--all types of casinos. We think of Casinos sorta like pizza--even when it's bad it's good. But Divi is hands down the worst casino I've ever set foot in. It's the only casino I will never go back inside. I tried it on three occasions. Never again.
Haven't stayed there but have been there to have lunch and use the beach - also there for Taste of STX in '07. I think the area is very nice and the beach is beautiful - it's long and cruved and you can walk it. If you try posting over on Trip Advisor there are a few posters who have just returned frmo the Divi and can give you up to date info. Here are a couple of photos, the bottom one was shot from the lower level beach restaurant:
It's a nice resort - food is okay - not great - but decent. You need a car though if you want to venture out; it's kinda isolated but beautiful.
