My husband is paralyzed and uses an electric wheelchair to get around. Was wondering if there was any tours that have a handicap lift that we and our 2 daughters could go on to see the island? If not, is there any ideas of what we can do on the island with his limitations? Would it be possible to get someone to take us on a tour of the island if he transfers into a vehicle? We will just be there for a day on 3/30/10 from 9-6 p.m. Any suggestions are welcome as I want to make this a nice trip for him and our girls...
I think your best option would be to arrange a private tour with a taxi driver. Others will be able to suggesty actual names.
There is a tour called Accessible Adventures on St. Thomas and their vehicle has a lift; try their website for more information http://www.accessvi.com/.

Call Tropic tours -(340) 774-1855. There used to be a special tour for wheelchair bound people along with beach wheel chairs, etc. If anyone knows if they are still around these guys will know. In the interim, I will ask again.
Looks like Islander beat me to it! That is the one I was thinking of but couldn't get the name to come forth to the front of this old brain.
