Please help.
My wife and I will be visiting St. Croix the first week of September. Are dinner reservations necessary? Thank you, Steve.

Probably not, but calling almost any restaurant a day or so in advance is all that you need to do to be sure that you have a seat at the table.

We just got back from STX, yesterday and at most of the nicer resturants a reservation is suggested. Duggans Reef is a nice place to eat and they do sggest reservations. Many of the restaurants are closed now for the summer, so I would call 1st before going.

In the slow seasons you can get by without a reservation for a normal sized party of six or less. More than that call ahead to be sure you get good service.

Also look at the local calendar for special events. Duggans was packed for dinner on Sunday, July 4th. Everyone was there to watch the fireworks at the yacht club.

Hello Steve,

Same day or 1 day advance reservations are good just to insure they are open, have space ect.
