Which island? If it's St Thomas, may I suggest the Toad and Tart. Nice view.

Actually, it's good English food and owned by a great woman who is also on here. I was being sarcastic about the view. Just good food and people.

Someone will give you some great ideas. But in any case go there for one of your meals.

Great view. Mafolie, Banana Tree, Room With a View. On the water: Mim's, Oceana, and Hook, Line, and Sinker.

We ate at Mim's in May and were disappointed. The service was very slow. The power kept going out ( typical for the Island) but it seemed like they had no idea how to cope with it. Food was ok, had better, had worse. The only good thing was we were seated at a table right by the water and when the power did go out we could see all the stars.

Food with a view - We tried Fat Turtle at Yacht Haven Grande the night one of the ships was in late. Nice to sit there watch the ship and other harbor traffic and have a meal. Menu was ok, I thought rather limited for "nice" dishes, but definately not lacking on the casual fare such as sandwiches and burgers.

Loberter Grille was nice and we had nice view of the pool and beach beyond.

Iggies is right on the beach, so the view there is good.

Windows on the Harbor in the Marriott Frenchman's Reef provides great day and night views of Charlotte Amalie

One of my favorites was Molly Malone's in Red Hook. The view is just thier outside area and the restaurant/bar, but we had a great meal there, the waitress was nice and being an Eagle's Fan myslef I thought I died and went to heven being on St. Thomas and being able to be surrounded by other Eagle's 😀

One of my favorite places for food and view is no longer there. For the Birds on Scott Beach in Compass Point was an absolute favorite place to go growing up ( I am showing my age now) too bad what happened there.

We've eaten at Mims a few times over the years because we went with friends who lived at Seacliff and they had a small child. Do not recommend at all For example on my last visit I ordered swordfish with a "spicy west indian orange pepper sauce" It was overcooked swordfish with a glob of orange marmalade on top. Nothing more. Terrible. If you find yourself at Mims I'd order maybe pasta.

Always got a great meal at room with a view and superb service. even better Whale of a Tale. Excellent food and service.

Hook Line & Sinker is a fun and very pleasant atmosphere with a lovely water view. I always like their fresh fish and lobster. I don't think the food is as good, but we also enjoy Molly Malones. I like the fish & chips.

Don't go to Iggies for the food or the service. we will never go back to Oceana.

(We've lived here 20 years and our very favorite restaurant's have no view whatsoever. LOL) Happy eats!

The Agave at the Point Pleasant Resort - Seafood, Steaks, Etc. - Ask for a balcony table - View: More than a dozen islands - Romantic - Chef Nikita is sensational - reservations are highly recommended. (340) 775-7200).

Hey all of you locals! I've seen some pretty good suggestions, but one really good choice is missing. For great views and food, I've always preferred Herve on government hill.
