Do most restaurants on St. John accept credit cards? What about American Express? What should I expect to pay for supper for two including entree (seafood), salad and beverage? Thanks.

Based on my experience over the last two weeks in St. John, most restaurants we went to accepted credit cards however I did not notice many AMEX logos. A casual dinner for 2 at a location like the Fishtrap (appetizer, seafood, 1 drink @ ) will run about $75.00+ tip. At a better location like the Stone Terrace, dinner for 2 with appetizer, main, and a bottle of California wine will run $125.00 +tip. Of course, a cold buffet breakfast at Caneel Bay is $23.00 +tip.
