Every year I come down to the islands for work, and I love the restaurants that they both have..........are there any new, really good restaurants this year? Is Marisol's still good, or do they keep changing chef's? And is Craig & Sally's still good? Also, I have a 2002 restaurant guide and Randy's Bistro isn't mentioned in it. Did they close? I would love to hear what's still good or new on St. Thomas and St. John again if anyone can help?
Thanks!

Hi There,

Marisol is no more. Steve left a long time ago to join his brother back in New York and Richard and his girlfriend/wife kept running it for a while. Then they took off one day and left the island owing money to all kinds of people.

It was a nice place but never really caught on the way it should have.

Thanks for the information on Marisols! It's a shame it's closed.

Kim: Randy is still at his old location and as good as ever.Craig and Sally's is an institution by now. Also still good is the Old Stone Farmhouse. New is a place out at the Elysian, Robert's American Grill. Haven't even been yet, so can't comment. ZoZo's on St John took over the old Ellington's location and have really created competition for Stone Terrace and Asolare.

Has anyone tried the new Mafolie restaurant - I know it is under new management, and it seems busy (as every time I have driven by there are lots of cars parked outside) but have not gotten there. That would be nother option - not really new, but it is under new management. I ate at the Tuscany Grill a couple nights ago, that is where the Alexanders Grill was in Frenchtown and it was pretty good. Craig and Sallys is still great.
