I will be travelling to STJ in about 3 weeks and was thinking about renting a dinghy for a day - there will be 2 women and 2 men. I have a few questions though. First, about how much will is cost for a full-day rental? Where is the best place to rent from? Do they give you a quick lesson on how to operate the boat? Any must-see beaches/snorkelling spots? Thanks much for your help!! Can't wait to get there!

psulion99, under forum tools click on search, then click all dates and type in dinghy rentals there. Many good things there!

Lets see, approximately $135 for 12ft or $170 for 14ft for a full day. Noah's Little Arks (Cruz Bay) or Crabby's (Coral Bay) seem to be the most popular. I believe they will have you watch a short (10 min) instruction video. From what I'm told, you get a lovely and much different perspective visiting by dinghy. You may come across a secret cove and you can snorkel Waterlemon without the hike. This info is based off of my own research as we are planning on a dinghy day in June. And yes, there are lots of dinhgy posts to read through. Good Luck!
