Hello everyone. I just purchased an underwater housing for my Canon SD600 digital camera. Would it be a wise investment to purchase the weights to prevent the case from floating? Is it difficult to keep the case submerged if you don't have the weights?

Thanks. 23 more days!!

If no one else answers, e-mail my good friend, Wendy, at [email protected] and tell her that Marty suggested that you ask her. I know she uses her underwater housing with her digital camera all the time and she'll probably be more than happy to tell you all that you need to know.

I have an underwater housing for my Canon SD500, and since I only snorkel, I did not get the weights. My understanding is, if you scuba, you might need the weights for boyancy while under water, but on top for snorkeling, I kind of like my camera to float beside me ( I always use the wrist strap).

Hope this helps.

Bert - Thanks for the info. I am just going to be snokeling, so I think I won't need the weights.
