Good Afternoon:
My husband and are cnsidering visiting USVI. We haven't been since our Family Reunion, our cousin is Attorney Lofton Holder in St. Thomas.
Our concern is my husband is on Dialysis. We would like someone to share how's your facilities and where are they. Also, is their a Davita dialysis center in the USVI.
Have you asked your cousin? He should be able to help you get accurate, detailed information. Alternatively, here is the contact information for the hospital on St Thomas: http://www.rlshospital.org/contactus.htm Someone there should be able to help.
There is only one dialysis center on St Thomas, but I believe there are two on St Croix. Your cousin should be able to help you.
Caribbean Kidney Center ----- this is in ST Croix but should be able to help and give you answers and Info!

Hi,
Advice from an R.N. - I work for the Medicare program.
Try following this link for a 3 dialysis facilities for their locations, contact info, and quality ratings.
http://www.medicare.gov/Dialysis/include/DataSection/Services/CompareServices.asp?StyleChoice_Size=
Click on Compare Dialysis Facilities then enter search by State - choose Virgin Islands and proceed.
Best of luck.
Take Care:-)
"I don't know what your budget is but...... I think flights from St. Thomas to Peurto Rico are only 30min"
You are correct but - the flight is 20-30 mins, you need to be at the airport 90 min before flight time (both locations) and flights are running around $250.00 roundtrip !!!!!
Pia.
