I was wondering if anyone can comment on the day sail with Daydreamer & Coconut?

I am interested in the BVI day sail to Jost that stops at Foxys, White Bay - Soggy & Ivans, etc... I took a similar daysail with Cruz Bay Water Sports out of the Westin and loved it. This time we are staying on St. Thomas and wanted to catch a sail closer to where we are staying. Can you tell me about the service, boat, # of passangers and where it departs from?

Thank you!!

LOVE THEM. Went on both in Jan. First, Daydreamer. Holds about 46 people. there were 13 on our trip. Capt. Frankie, Jen and the other Mate were wonderful. Very organized for Customs. You pay for your own lunch, but they order it up at Foxy's ahead of time on Jost, food is very good. We drank Painkillers all day, went to White Bay, where Soggy Dollar is (inventor of Painkiller). Had a great time. There is a waterslide down the back of Daydreamer that is complete fun. Did lots of snorkeling and had a terrific day. Liked it SO much we tried to go again that week but DD was booked w/private charter so we went on Coconut. Coconut is smaller/older boat, we had about 10 people on trip. Trip went to StJohn, not Jost. We went to 3 different beachs for fab snokeling, they serve lunch of sandwiches, pasta salad etc. The crew on each boat was fantastic. Great kids. DD is a very stable boat, we loved it. Another sail we did was Nightwind at Sapphire Marina. Sloop with about 10 people. not as roomy as DD, but still fun and better lunch was served! Roast chix, pasta salad, fruit, etc. I don't know of anyone who had a bad sailing day, even when it rained a bit. DD and Coconut owned by same fellow, Glenn, who is very nice. You'll love it.

Hi, would you happen to have a web address for Daydreamer or an e-mail address?

How long does it take to sail to Jost from St. John?

I want to get this right. Re. Daydreamer Daysail to BVIs...Is it customary to tip EACH member of the crew (captain, hands, etc.) 15-20%????

Re: Tipping. We had 3 crewmembers on Coconut and 3 on Daydreamer (all were fantastic kids) We tipped $15 for each crew person. They wait on you hand and foot all day, serving drinks etc. and they are personable, knowledgable and kind. The captains, although young (compared to me anyway), each had a 100ton license and can sail anything. Can't wait to get back. Daydreamer goes to Jost, but also to St John, it does different sails on different days. Coconut goes to St John and other smaller islands, but not Jost.
