Everyone is being so helpful, I do have another question.
We are going to St. John for a day, for sure. We are toying with the idea of a day at one of the BVI. We are very unsure of what we want to do maybe we should just enjoy our week in St. Thomas. Passports are taken care of - just in case we decide to go. Is a day trip a good idea or no? Our trip is mostly about relaxation - and some sightseeing.
A day trip is a great idea for any group. It gets you out of the 'normal' setting of your villa/hotel and you can gear it for any style. The BVI's have a completely different feel to them (more British, obviously).
For drinking/partying go to the Willy T floating bar and jump from the top deck.
For chilling out, go to Jost van Dyke and hit Ivan's Stress Free Bar and relax in the hammock.
For sight seeing, culture, surf, and Cuban cigars, check out Tortola.
We had a rough time at "The Baths", -difficult surf, and the trip on the boat was longer than our time there. -Not a fan, unless we have more time there. It was pretty much like a car crash; all of the people on the beach were basically exhausted, and couldn't do anything but sit on the beach, and watch everyone else trying to get ashore. By then, we had @ 25 minutes to "explore" The Baths. We booked it through Cruz Bay Watersports a few years ago. I'd recommend something more casual & intimate for the day. Last year we took a sunset sail with Captain Dans' Motor Yacht Cinnamonbay. It was a joy, and are going to Jost Van Dyke this year with them. We leave in 2 weeks for STJ, and that excursion will be one of many highlights, for sure. I'm sure The Baths are gorgeous, but I'm not going to try it again, maybe it's just me...
