We're in SST for the week. Any suggestions for day trips on the island? Not big beach fans but love great views and good unique sites and ethnic cuisine.

Definitely take a day trip to St. Croix on the seaplane (they're between $85-130 and definitely WORTH the experience, I'm from St. Croix), and there's St. John on the ferry.

Hello B-Long,

Day activities - go up to Mountain Top, Drakes Seat, Botanical Gardens. Great views. Take the Skyride (Paradise Point Tram) or drive up to the point if you have a rental car. Go to Bluebeards Castle and Blackbeards and maybe check out the other historical sites like Fort Christian, 99 steps... Go over to St. John for a day, rent a car or take your rental car from St. Thomas over on the car barge - drive around all over, have a nice lunch and skip the beaches since you aren't interested but definately spot at the scenic look outs overlooking Caneel Bay, Trunk Bay - great photo opts. Also walk around Cinnamon bay and Annaberg plantation ruins - they are interesting. For local food you might visit Cuzzins in Charlotte Amalie, Victors Hideaway maybe, Gladys in Charlotte Amalie is an interesting and fun place... You can take the ferry over to St. Croix on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, its $60 round trip or take the Seaplane which maybe $25-30 more but saves lots of time since its shorter and is a more enjoyable ride.

You can visit St John for the day, tour the island, hang out at the beach one day. On another day, have dinner and dancing on St. John...I hope it doesnt rain....Just ask one of the taxi driver to suggest something since they usually now what the last minute plans are....If you can as the The Taxi drive to get Ricky James to taxi you around...He is great and know the island very well....Just tip him really nice and tell him Veronica said...Hi....good luck
