Hello again knowledgeable and kind people 🙂

We do have a car rental but recently found out we are not allowed to take it off of St Thomas. We do plan on visiting St John, so it appears we'll be taking the ferry over. So I am curious, lets say for example, we want to go to Truck Bay, do they have any type of beverages available ? Food ? Should we pack an ice chest with drinks and food, and if we do, are we allowed to leave that on the beach while swimming ?

I guess we'll need a change of clothes ? Or would it be ok to throw on a shirt when we get back to town on St John to eat dinner / have drinks before heading back to St Thomas ?

We hate to lug around more than we have to.

We really don't want to rent from another company, the Fiance works for a car rental company, there-for we are getting a real deal on the car rental we have.

Thanks in advance for all the assistance !

Trunk Bay and Cinnamon both have showers available so cleaning up alittle before dinner is easy. Both beaches also have a snack shop and bar so no need to lug a cooler with you 🙂 Throwing on the same clothes would be fine - you could always put your suits on at the beach so your clothes would be alittle "fresher" for dinner 🙂 and no need to dress up for dinner either - shorts and a t-shirt would be fine for say dinner at the Beach Bar, Banana Deck, Woody's etc alittle nicer than a "just from the beach" look if you want to eat at Lime Inn, Morgans Mango etc.

Hope this helps

Yes, Trunk has food and beverages.
No - you don't have to pack a cooler of food and drinks, but I always pack my own beverages (Colas and Beer) so I don't have to keep walking from my lazy sun-drenched spot in the sand to get another one.
Yes - you can leave your cooler on the beach while you swim. I cannot completely guarantee that it will be there when you come back, but most "cooler thieves" hang out at other beaches (that's a joke - bad one - but a joke nonetheless).

There are showers at Trunk - they close at 4:30 I think. That does give you a chance to shower off and put on some clean clothes for the evening.

Hope that helps! Have Fun!

lots of taxis back and forth to Trunk from Cruz Bay, a car rental unnecessary unless you have a big group. The taxis charge per person.

That's all great information. Do they have lockers @ Trunk / Cinnamon ?
