We want to visit Jost for the day. We will be leaving from St. Thomas. Soggy Dollar and Foxy's stop for sure! Is this doable if we take the ferry or should we hire a boat service to take us there and back? Also our trip might be on Easter. Do ferries run on Easter and more importantly is boozed served on Easter? Assume customs is handled on ferries.
You can get drinks in the BVI and USVI on Easter, but not on Good Friday. You can do this trip by ferry, but be sure you know what the fees are. The BVI has been increasing their taxes on visitors so that a ferry trip that cost $45 a few years ago now costs $80-90. You will go through Customs yourselves at Great Harbour, but it is fairly painless. You also will stop at Cruz Bay, St John on the way back for US Customs.
