In a previous post, someone mentioned that there are day sails that are more of a larger group outing and ones that are for only like 4 people. Can anyone recommend one that would be more of a group outing with more people. What are the costs of these trips?

The New Horizons is an EXCELLENT trip! Everything is included in the price ($110/person, I believe). All the food, open bar, snorkeling equipment and instruction, you name it. Check it out at: http://newhorizonsvi.com/ You WILL be pleased with it. Probably the best day of your vacation! Have fun!

My husband and I did this trip the end of December. It was wonderful. The food was good and the crew was great. There was about 35 people the day we went out. They snorkeled at two places around STJ. You eat right on the boat.

And yes, it is Budget that has that coupon.

We'll be staying at the Westin, so I'd prefer not to go to Coral Bay or Red Hook. Any suggestions?

Pull down the day sail menu on St. John link or ask at your guest services desk - there are plenty of them which will originate in Great Cruz and Cruz Bay.

If I were you I would want to escape the sterility of the Westin, get out a little and explore. Coral Bay is great.
Check out Connections http://www.connectionsstjohn.com/
Click on activities, and scroll down to charters.
I HIGHLY reccomend White Wing.

The cattamaran that leaves from the Westin is called the ADVENTURER, We sailed on her last year and had a great time. Stopping for snorkelling, and a trip to Jost to hear Foxy sing as we ate lunch. Then off to the Soggy Dollar bar on the other side of the island for some well deserved Painkillers made with Cruzan Rum.........have fun
