Hey guys,

Heading to St John for the second time this Thursday March 16. Last year we explored St John but never had a chance to go off-island --either to BVI's (Virgin Gorda) or Jost Van Dyke.

If we're going to do one day trip, any recs of where to go, and what day-sail to go with? Also, I tend to get seasick. I'm going to try and pick a day with smooth waters BUT....I'm thinking either a larger boat or a motorboat is better than a small, choppy sailboat, so any recs are appreciated.

I'd recommend doing the New Horizons powerboat trip. It goes to the Baths at Virgin Gorda, lunch at Marina Cay, snorkel stop, then a relaxing time at White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. It's a pretty long ride from St. John to Virgin Gorda so I also recommend taking motion-sickness pills. While this is not a day-sail, you get lots of action (different scenery) for your money, and a nice mix of relaxing time on the beach in front of Soggy Dollar Bar. Good luck - Have Fun!

Lolo is right.....go with Capt Clark on Whitewing. We did it last year and we are planning to go sailing with him again when we get back to STJ in June. Great boat, nice guy, great sail. Check out his web site at...
