I have seen quite a few charter day cruises on the web leaving St. Thomas for other USVIs and BVIs. I am traveling alone. Are there any day cruises available that are not chartered? Something financially reasonable for 1 person? Thanks

Well you can take a daycruise with a group, rather then chartering a sail boat that is designed for 6 max persons - so more pricey. Horizons day sail is group oriented, try their web site at http://www.newhorizonsvi.com/ , there is also party day cruises like Kon Tiki and Wild Thing... there are a few others that do groups where individuals can also go.

When we sailed on the Fantasy earlier this month there were five of us and when we booked we had the option - booking per person and leaving a spot that could be booked by someone outside our party or chartering for just the five of us. We booked for the 5 of us and met a wonderful woman from New England who was the 6th. The sail was one of the highlights of a wonderful visit to the USVI. Check with Pam Heath at www.daysailfantasy.com. or any of the daysails that offer a per person rate.

We prefer the smaller 6 person max cruises but either way make sure you do it - it will be a day to remember.

Enjoy
