Our family will be traveling to St. Thomas the end of November and would like to find a day charter (powerboat) to the BVI. I have heard wonderful things about New Horizons II, but wonder if the number of people on board is a little daunting. Several years ago when we visited, we were on a charter with only 6 people and it was nice to have a smaller number. Maybe the boats are big enough that 15 people or so would not matter. Anyone have any comments or suggestions.....
Hi Carol, We went with NH2 on our last visit. There were 12 of us on the boat that day and never felt cramped at all. They take up to 16, and even with that number we would'nt have had an issue.
We had a great day.

Bill and Sue,
Thanks for the response. Your comments helped to alleviate our reservations. I loved the pics also - we will be staying at Sapphire Beach Resort, so it was great to see them!! Thanks again!!

We are booked on the NH2 excursion to BVI on Tuesday Nov. 30th. Cruise ship schedule shows seven ships in port, so it looks like a good day to get away from STT.
Maybe we will be on the NH2 together.

Do you need passports if you take this charter into the BVI?
Does anyone have the website address for New Horizons? I was wondering what their rates are. Thanks.
Yes, it is http://newhorizonscharters.com/. There is also an email address listed there. I have emailed them several times and they are excellent at getting back to you very quickly. I am very impressed with them in that regard. Regarding a question from another post, the website gives several options instead of passports - check it out.
Hello Sitter,
For Americans a passport or a birth certificate and photo id. You need either or for immigration when leaving the USVI to return to the states as well.

I'm thinking about booking the trip on NH2 right now for December 5th...thanks for your help
New Horizons daysail and New Horizons II powerboat trip to the BVI are both excellent trips. Tim and Holly, who own the company, have done a great job at getting wonderful boats and a super crew.
