There are lots of car rental places on St. Hohn. Give a few of them a call and see if they rent for a day. I am sure that some will. A long time ago we did a day's car rental from Hospitality Rental but I don't think they are in business any longer. It's worth it to do a rental though. There is lots to see. A taxi will also take you around part of the island. I have a list of car rental phone numbers if you need them.

It is not that rental car agencies do not book for a day, it is that they don't give reservations for one day for high season - because there is lots of business at that time of the year, the owners prefer to reserve their cars/jeeps to people for a week or several days at a time. Keep trying to reserve something, if no luck when you get on island then you can walk up to the booths and see if they have anything available for the day, several of the rental agencies are right next to each other.
