Hi bombi,
Thank you for the information, but I already knew that part. I guess what I am saying is I read somewhere that a lot of the "touristy" things in St. Croix that are normally closed on Sunday's are open when a cruise ship is in port. For example, the botanical gardens clearly say that on their web site and I believe I read something about Sweeney's tour running IF there is a cruise ship in port. I guess I can just call them to find out for certain though.
Go ahead and give them a call. Horses mouth.
Very true, thanks Ric. Will call tomorrow and post back here in case anyone else should ever stumble across this. I will not actually be on a cruise ship when I am there, but I have everything booked and paid for (it turns out I was able to pull off all 4 islands for 3 or 4 days each, OH YEAH!), so with everything booked and paid for I forgot one single thing after all of the months of research I have done! Party foul on me! It turns out I will be on STX from around 3 p.m. on a Friday (but I want to relax that day and chill) untill around 3 p.m. Monday, but I have to get ready and pack and be at the seaplane/airport a lot earlier than that, so I just want to relax on Monday morning. As you can tell with my babbling I am very excited to visit all of the virgin islands for my first time, but I wanted to hit the rum factory considering i'm a loud mouth drunk (lol, just kidding, I'm happy!) So basically the only 2 full exploring days I have on beautiful stx is only Saturday and Sunday.
BUT ANYWAY, that is my long story why I would miss some of the sight seeing spots during my visit. I will call tomorrow and confirm and post back in case anyone else was ever wondering. It may not be anything special for the locals but as I mentioned on my post above the botanical gardens website says they are open on weekends when a cruise ship is in. I will definitely hit that!
