What about good restaurants in the Cruz Bay area? Are there any with good food and a good view?

I had a wonderful veggie wrap at the High Tide. My husband had the mahi bites there and loved it. Not fine dining, but good casual food.

Zozo's, Asolare, Equator (at Caneel Bay, a short taxi ride from Cruz Bay).

We liked Panini Beach right on the water in Cruz Bay. They serve Italian pasta, pizza, and seafood. They are less expensive than ZoZo's, which is also very good. Here are links for both:

I wouldn't confine myself to restaurants with good food AND good wiews...find great food (many options) and digest with a great view (many options)

We went back to Morgan Mangos for a second visit. Rhum lines was great too. Gotta say, from our Canadian perspective, restaurants are quite pricey. Average entree seemed to be around $25, not too much in the mid and low range. Here in Vancouver BC you can pay that and more too, but you can also find meals comparable to Cruz Bay dining (which were almost all very good) for about ten bucks less. (You really ought to come here soon before the Olympics drives everything higher! Vancouver is multi ethnic and the food scene here is reckoned to be among the best anywhere.) My favorite meal (we were there the first week of April) may have been the Johnny Cakes and fried fish at the ball tournament.

Be prepared that everything is a bit pricey. If you want to go to something "nicer" on the island try Stone Terrace and La Tapa (for great apps). There is a place in Mongoose Junction for lunch called Gecko thats not pricey. The Lime Inn is great for lunch and dinner and more middle of the road. The only other places not in Cruz Bay worth trying are Skinny Legs for lunch at Chateau Bordeaux for dinner.
