Could anyone recommend a beach on St. Thomas that rents chairs, provides bathroom facilities, is somewhat shady and has calm waters for young children? Many of the beaches I have read about have nice amenities but is noted with "hotel" in parentheses. Does that mean that the restrooms are for hotel patrons only? Thanks for your help! Kathy

You are right- the changing rooms and bathrooms needed improvement but the beach was lovely. I have been to the public side of the beach at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort in St. Martin. The hotel's beach restrooms were open to the public and the amenities there were incredible. In light of what is written about Magen's Bay, that is what I was expecting. Thanks for your help.

I agree about Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. It is only a 5 minute ferry ride from Crown Bay. We actually saw several cruise ship people out on the beach a day or two. It's peaceful as not too many people have discovered it yet. We spent 12 days on Water Island and loved every minute of it. Although, the bathrooms were not functioning the entire time we were there earlier this month and they were NASTY even the hubby refused. I say Magen's Bay is the absolute best!!!! And, I even showered in the bathroom there. Have fun and enjoy.
