*We are staying on stj. We want to visit trunk bay one day of our trip but are concerned about the crowd -especially when cruise ships dock. Are there certain days of the week that ships come in or is that an every day event?

There are cruise ship schedules that are posted and I'm sure someone can tell you where to find them. We keep it simpler than that. Knowing that Trunk is going to be the most crowded beach--with or without a cruise ship influx---we get there early and leave when it's filling up. The further you get from Cruz Bay, the fewer folks do you share the beach with. We've been at Haulover at mid-day in March and had the beach to ourselves.

The link for cruise schedules is located at top center of this page. The schedule is updated during the last week of the month to include the next month.
Crowds arrive at Trunk ~10 AM and depart ~4 PM. Visit before or after those times and you will avoid the crowd.
