Does anyone know how to check to see when cruise ships will be in STT? Will be in STT end of Aug - beg of Sept. Would like to know days of week when ships WILL NOT not be in port. That way we can shop in Charlotte Amalie w/o the huge crowds. Any thoughts?, or is every day a cruise ship docking day?

Thanks 😎

Just remember that it is best to shop when there is at least one ship in town as some stores will close on non cruise ship days (especialy at this time of year) due to lack of shoppers 🙂

There will be plenty of opportunity for town shopping without huge crowds during the time you're here as our slow season also sees a reduction in cruise ship visits, Just check the above schedule in August and you'll have plenty of days to plan a town trip. Cheers!

You can also pick up a STT THIS WEEK when you arrive at the airport and that has the schedule in it, two pages from the back. 🙂

Where in the airport do you pick up the STT This Week? Do you find this pub at most hotels? Frommer's mentions a copy can be picked up at the Tourist Vistor's Center by the harbor.

As you head out , or to baggage there are racks on the outside wall by the exit, to right, or baggage, to left. Just past the Rum Punch booth..They are also located in many of the shops, Hotels/Resorts and stores around the Island.

During summer, the general rule is that the most cruise ships (2-3) will be on Tuesday or Wednesday. The cruise schedule posted is what ALL the stores use to determine opening days as well as staffin schedules.
