Can anyone tell me for sure where we will dock? According to the Cruise Ship Schedule on this website the Emerald Princess was to dock at Crown Bay today and it docked at Havensight. On March 27 we will be the only ship in port and according to the schedule we should be at Crown Bay. Can anyone tell me for sure where we will be? thanks

I think they can change their minds for various reasons, but Princess is supposed to be at Crown Bay...

Change for 3/13 to Havensight was a move made so that a US Navy ship arriving can dock through 3/18, Draft on the Navy ship makes it tough to go to HS because the actual inspection/paperwork etc. for the recent dredging had not been completed. At least that is what Crown Bay and WICO are saying.

She should be back at CB for 3/27...me thinks??

billd: I believe the Port Authority can still change the dock at the last minute for various reasons. When you cruise, you should be ready for anything. Read the small print.

East Ender, you are 100% correct. My husband and I are avid cruisers and have much experience in this area. Both Princess and Holland America Lines have exclusive agreements to dock at Crown Bay. The only time they dock at Havensight is when for whatever reason, there is something going on at Crown Bay. Yes, the Navy would take precedence. When you are on a cruise ship, you have to be prepared for itinerary and dockage changes that can occur at any time in any port.

We have docked at both places several times and trust me, wherever you dock, you will have a glorious time! We were in Crown Bay last month on a Holland America Ship and they are doing a beautiful job of building up that area to accommodate cruise passengers.

Wishing you a beautiful cruise!

I had to meet the Caribbean Princess yesterday, drove to Crown Bay and was met with LOTS of sailors and no cruise ship!
I was told the ship was in Havensight and the reason being was because of the Navy ship! Looked like no sailors were looking to get married..... I arrived late to Havensight for my couple to get married, but all worked out well as they were late getting off the ship! Whew!
Usually the Princess cruise line arrives in Crown Bay. Didn't occur to me to look as I was driving down the hill......HELLO! 😮

if the PA changes the location of the ship why do you think that one of us poor people would know better? You best bet is to call the ship and they will tell you where they plan to dock!

biild: The problem with your answer is that the ship may not know where it will dock until the day they arrive. They shuffle them around for all sorts of reasons. And I don't think you can call the ship anyway!

To the OP: As everyone says- the Princesses SHOULD be at Crown Bay, but be prepared with a plan B!!

Perky-Very smart! 😉 Yes, you can call the ship, but unless you have the cell phone number of someone who works on the bridge, you will be hard pressed to get a straight answer and it would cost you anywhere from $15.00 to $20.00 per minute!

Hope you have a great time on STT!

The driving down the hill plan works pretty well - no reason to be there before they enter the harbor anyway it takes a good 1/2 hour to dock and even start letting guests off.
