We are on a Sun Princess cruise in December. We will be docking at Crown Bay, which we are unfamiliar with.
Can you give me some information on whether there is any shopping there? How far is it from CA? How about taxis to town? Or, making connections for St. John etc.? Thank you.

There is nothing currently open at the shopping mall that they have built there, but they are supposed to have some of the stores open by Oc tober 1st. If this actually happens remains to be seen. Crown Bay Cruisehip Dock is a $4 taxi ride into Charlotte Amalie (same as for Havensite) and they are readily available. Making a connection to STJ is the same, too. Either go to Charlotte Amalie and take the ferry, go to Red Hook and take the ferry, or book an excursion with your cruiseship and they will pick you up AT your ship and take you to STJ. have fun!
