Can you take coolers and/or beer with you to Magen's Bay? Im going to be there for a week and will be at that beach everyday and wanted to make sure that it was legal?

We bought a cheap styrofoam cooler at K-Mart for $5 and filled it up from the ice machine at Blue Beard's every day before heading to the beach with our blender drinks already mixed and beer in tow. Fine to do this at any beach, but we always bought one drink or rented chairs from the folks that walked the beach at Coki selling drinks because it's how they make their living and they depend on us tourists!

Magens Bay Authority does not allow glass on the beach - not always enforced but it is clearly posted.

Thanks. We are staying at a friend's of a friend...we also live at the beach (tourist area) and understand locals making money. we will totally spend money at the bar and rent chairs; however, it can get quite pricey for 7 days in a row by not taking your own cooler!.can't wait for our first trip to STT!
