I have narrowed it down to these 3 car rental places for our trip in June. We are staying in Coral Bay so my main concern is finding a car rental place that has ample parking in the evening for those times we come back to Cruz bay for dinner. I have read the good/bad reviews of each but was hoping to get some input on:

(1) What has the most parking available?
(2) What has the newest vehicles? (we are renting a jeep)
(3) Which is the least hassle to deal with generally?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm also going in June! I spoke with the real estate agent and she recommended St. John Car Rental. They also have a lot that you can use and since we're both going in June, there isn't usually any trouble parking. But... you better listen to the more experienced travelers to St. John because this is my first stay there!

We'll be using Conrad Sutton again (we're going back in May). We used them once before and had no complaints. Always room to park in their lot when we were in Cruz Bay, and the Jeep we got was fairly new. I read recently that they currently have pretty new cars. I can't tell you who out of the 3 would have the best parking or newest cars, though, since I have only dealt with Conrad. Hopefully someone else can help you out!

I only have experience with Courtesy - they were fine - BUT, their parking lot is very small - so that may be something to consider - It didn't effect us, as we stay at Gallows and walk into town anyway.

You know - if I were you, I'd call each one and find out approximately how many cars they have spaces for - that may help you to decide.

We always use Conrad Sutton as well. They will wait for us if we are arriving late and you can always leave the rental there when you go into Cruz Bay at night...

I was there last June. We rented from St. John Car Rental and I had to LOL at Darlene's post saying that she was told there is never a problem parking there. They only have about 10 spaces and never were we able to park in them. If there had been a place to park, if you have a vehicle with any size to it, you can forget it.

They were very nice to deal with and their cars were nice, but don't count on being able to park in their lot!
Hope that helps!
Christi

Hi. We've used STJ Car Rental, Courtesy, and Conrad. Liked Conrad the best. The lot is bigger and easier to maneuver in than the others. STJ Car Rental is small and square..and fills up fast. In the evenings, Courtesy shares their lot with the bar next door. (even smaller lot ) Every time we came to town a nice gentleman at Conrad parked our car for us. The car we had was in excellent shape with low miles. Oh, and they also drove us to the ferry dock after we returned the car and the same nice gentleman refused to accept a tip. I've already booked our car for this year from them. I'm used to driving a small Toyota at home, so having a roomy lot to park a Montero in is a HUGE plus for this nervous driver. Hope this helps!

I have called St. John twice and they were also recommended my our rental company -- but they have yet to send me information and I have requested twice. This is getting old!!! I am going to call Conrad tomorrow. I normally do not post negative comments, but really think after 2 calls and even talking to them on the phone that I would have information by now. Let me know if you have a different experience.

We have been here since last Saturday. We rented a Liberty from Conrad. Nice car and we have parked several times on his lot and have not had any problems.
Hope this helps.

How do I get in touch with Conrad Sutton? I will google him and see if I can find number. Where is his place located? I have still not received the information from St. John Car Rental and it has been over a week since I talked to them personally via telephone.

You probably already found it, but here's his site: www.conradcars.com. We used their online reservation form, and received an e-mail confirmation within a day or two.
